Floyd D Ellenberger

Age 83, of Franklin Park, formerly of West View, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Beloved husband of 60 years of Maryann (Rozanski); loving father of Deborah Simmons-Badami (Sal Badami), Dalelynn Gray (Michael Betkowski), and Denise Sheets; proud grandfather of Stacy Simmons, Stephanie Simmons-Rossini (Brian Rossini), Tim Gray (Kristy), Tom Gray (Jaime Peters), and Rick Sheets, Jr. (Abbie); proud great-grandfather of Zoe Simmons, Rylee Gray, Logan Simmons, Brian Rossini, Jr., Chloe Simmons, and Ethan Gray; son of the late Harry and Annabelle (Sproat) Ellenberger; brother of Lydia Carpenter and the late Harry "Steppy" Ellenberger, Ferol Bittner, and Martha Taylor; father-in-law of Jim Simmons, Lester Gray, and Rick Sheets, Sr. Floyd was the supervisor of the Allegheny County Treasurer's Office, License Division for 30 years. He also worked for 40 years at the Civic/Mellon Arena and the Consol Energy Center. Floyd enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, decorating his yard for every occasion, Steeler parties with his family and friends, playing golf, and all sports. He was known for being generous, caring, and giving to family, friends, and strangers. He loved animals and will miss his faithful companion, Buster. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 1-8 p.m. at the H.P.
