

Born October 4, 1926, he was a son to the late Marko and Bridgette (Sutej) Vinksi.
Frank grew up in Reserve Township and as a kid he worked many hours at the local cemetery digging graves by hand. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was a member of the VFW and the SNPJ. He was an avid stamp and coin collector. You could often find Frank doing the one thing he loved, Polka Dancing. He often traveled the country with his friends going to many polka festivals and even passing the fine dance off to his children. Frank was known as the best polka dancer in Western Pennsylvania. He worked as a bus driver for Saint Nicks and later a truck driver for many years for interstate trucking.
He is survived by his children, Gerard (Christy) Vinski, Mary Ann (Don) Slingwine, Lorraine Vinski, and Dianna (Sam) McDonald; Grandchildren, Jason, Craig, Mike, Christy, Kelly, Brandon, Rebecca, Ryan and Selina; 7 Great Grandchildren; his brothers, Rudy and Albert. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary and two brothers, Mark and Joseph.
Family and friends to be received on Monday March 20, 2023 from 3PM to 8PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. A Catholic Funeral Blessing will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 10AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park with full military honors.
