G. Edward Weaver

Passed away September 22, 2012 at the age of 93. Ed was born on January 27,1919 in Midway, PA, of six children of Guy and Gertrude Berlin Weaver, and grew up in Kossuth, PA. He was a resident of North Hills for over fifty years spending his last two years at Cumberland Crossing. He married Lois Beels on September 19, 1942 and celebrated 61 years of marriage until her death in 2003. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as a Captain in the Corps of Engineers in Europe and the Persian Gulf Command. Ed graduated from Grove City College with a business degree. He retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. as Regional Sales Director and District Sales Manager in Pittsburgh. He was an active member of Northmont U.P. Church. Ed was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Past Master of Edenburg Lodge #550. He is survived by his loving companion, Linda Huffington; and his three children, Marsha (William) Ostler of Saginaw, MI; a son, Douglas (Ginny) Weaver of Gibsonia, PA; and daughter, Debbie (William) Senften of Centerville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was loved by nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, and sister. Visitation will take place Wednesday, September 26 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 at H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Perry Hwy., Pittsburgh (Ross Twp.), PA 15237. The Funeral will take place on Thursday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m. at Northmont U.P. Church.
