

With heavy hearts the family of George M. Leon of the North Hills announce that their father went to be with the Lord to join his beloved late wife Annette Leon (Bollo) where they will spend eternity sitting side by side listening to the oldies, and playing slot machines
George was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Mildred Leon.
He is the beloved brother of Sondra Hess (Jack) and father of Michael (Diane), Liza, Chris, Augie and Leslie (Bill) Leon. He leaves behind seven; Grandchildren Jade, Courtney, Morgan, Jackie, Carley, Samantha and Austin and 5 Great-Grandchildren Elayna, Lilah, Grayson, Meadow and Monarch.
He was a member of the Air Force Reserves as a young man then started his own very successful business (West Penn Billiard) in Ross Township that he ran for over 50 years. At the time of his ownership he became one of the top retail stores in the United States. George had many interest including racing stock cars where he drove and later owned the top 2 cars in the Tri-State area (8 Ball team). George transitioned to the harness horse racing industry where he became one of the top owners in the US winning many large races.
He also loved to play golf and cards at the Highland Country Club and taking his family and friends boating on the rivers of Pittsburgh. He will forever be loved and missed by his family and friends and everyone who knew him.
George’s family and friends are welcome to pay respects on Tuesday March 8, 2022 from 4-8PM at the Brandt Funeral home 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
