Gerald "Jerry" T. Walczak

Age 74, of Franklin Park, passed away on his birthday, Monday, May 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Karen D. (Wiegand), primary recipient of his culinary talents over the years. Cherished father of Heather L. (Judson) DiVincenzo of Solon, OH, and Scott C. Walczak of Raleigh, NC, who inherited his values, benefited from his selfless work ethic, and adopted his humor, humility and heart. First-born child and son of Loma and the late Thomas Walczak. Proud grandfather of Carter, Jackson and Juliana, including #1 fan of Carter’s athletics, Jackson’s music, and Juliana’s dance. Brother of Susan, Daniel, Judy, Carol, Karen, Cindy and Joanne. Trusted friend at hunting camp, sportsman’s club, plus occasional fishing expedition. Respected co-worker at Davis & Ward, later RR Donnelley, before retiring from his typographer profession after over half a century. All will miss him dearly. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm at the H.P.
