

Jerry was married and faithfully devoted to the late Barbara (Stalter) Snyder for almost 60 years.
Father of Jerry (Kara) Snyder, Margie (Larry) Giamp, Lorrie (Jack) Miller deceased twin sister (Mary), Joanne Hoberg, and Matt (Sheryl) Snyder. Cherished Grandfather "Pap" "Pappy" of Jessica Maccarini, Chelsea Zimmerman, Malarry Grodi, Timothy Miller, Kristen Brewer, Katie Hoberg, and Emily Hoberg.
Great grandfather of Calvin Wood, Meghan Grodi, Enzo Maccarini, Luke Grodi, Zelie Zimmerman, and Milo Zimmerman.
Son of the late Margaret (Weidner) and Wilbert Snyder and one of 9 children. Brother to Joan Lippold, Margaret Hancock, Charlotte Hilderhoff, and the late Wilbert Snyder, Regis Snyder, Marion Audley, Thomas Snyder and Jerome Snyder.
Jerry was a 1956 graduate of North Catholic High School. He began his early working years as a carpenter building homes. He then accepted a job with Dravo Corp(Neville Island) in their carpenter department, building and constructing various projects until they closed.
Jerry took his carpenter skills to St. Francis Hospital in Bloomfield and later transferred to Cranberry Township for the next 20 years-before retiring. He often shared how blessed he was to have a job that he could utilize his carpenter skills and allow him the opportunity to build on developing friendships and relationships with patients/ residents and staff alike.
Jerry was a simple man who loved the Lord. He enjoyed taking walks in nature while enjoying the beauty of God’s abundant creation . He enjoyed tending to his beautiful flower gardens, reading his Bible, and taking drives, with Barbara beside him, to their favorite ice cream shop.
Jerry will be fondly remembered for his sharp and keen memory, his treasured stories of earlier days shared with family and friends, and his gratitude for all of his extended family.
His life emulated the words of St. Teresa
of Calcutta, "Not all of us can do great things, but we can all do small things with great love."
We will miss you- Dad, Pap, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend.
Your courageous 10 year battle with cancer has ended. We will always admire your strength and inner desire to make all things new.
Friends will be received on Sunday April 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 at H.P Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Highway Pittsburgh, PA 15237
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 14th 10:30 AM at Saints John & Paul Catholic Church - Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish 2586 Wexford Bayne Rd, Sewickley, PA 15143. Interment to take place following the Mass at Holy Savior Cemetery 4629 Bakerstown Rd, Gibsonia PA 15044.
