Harold L. “Crusher” Mangel, 87, of Bellevue, on Saturday, August 6, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Elinore Kamensky. Loving father of Hal (Carol) Mangel and Mark Mangel; proud grandfather of Nicole, Natalie, Zachary, Christopher, Tyler, Jimmy, Mindy and Jessica; great-grandfather of Gionni, Logan and Jameson; brother of Lois Walsh and Paul Mangel; preceded in death by his sister Ruth Malter. Harold served in the US Army 82nd Airborne during WWII, was a graduate of Duquesne University, retired controller for Steel City Lumber and longtime member of the American Legion Post 116.
Friends received Wednesday 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc., 1014 California Ave., Avalon 412-766-5600. Funeral service Thursday 10am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations suggested to the VA Hospital (Aspinwall), 1010 Delafield Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15215.
