Helen Marie Stone

HELEN M. (SIPPEL) STONE age 92, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. A beloved wife and mother, she was a truly magnificent woman. Born in Perrysville to Herman and Stella Sippel, she graduated from Perry High School and Robert Morris University. In April 1944, she traveled to the Air Field in Biloxi, MS to marry the love of her life, Walter "Curt" Stone. They were married for 38 years. She was an avid golfer at Highland Country Club, where she played bridge with a group from Perry H.S. for 60 continuous years. She is survived by her son, Dr. William C. Stone and his wife, Vickie and his three sons, David, Robert, and Christopher Stone; her daughter, Judy Stone Jordan and her husband, William, and two children, Kate Jordan Augusto and William C. Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Curtis Stone; her three brothers, Robert Sippel, Carl Sippel, and William H. Sippel; and a grandson, Thomas Stone Jordan.
