Jean Anne Fischer

Jean Fischer, the Owner of Fischer’s Office Products in Butler, PA, from 1998-2017, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at 63 years of age, a resident of McCandless Township. She was born in Sharon Pennsylvania. A graduate of Ashland University, in Ashland Ohio, she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Jean was the devoted daughter of Charles R. and the late Anne (Van Kirk) Fischer of Wexford; loving sister of Janet F. Thompson (husband Michael) of Winchester, Virginia and the late Carol Fischer. Proud aunt of Katharine Snyder (husband Matthew) of Reston, Virginia and Elizabeth and Allison Thompson, both of Woodstock, Virginia. Family & friends will be received 6-8 PM Monday, July 17th, at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444). A service will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Allegheny County Memorial Park, Allison Park. Jean loved to sew, bake, craft and garden, making gifts for all. Painting stepping stones and constructing collages were favorite past times. Her generosity and hospitality was always present to family, friends and neighbors. Her planning community activities and many events was welcomed by all neighborhood children. As devoted animal lover, she raised many black labs over the years and nurtured her current pup, "Pepper" . In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or to Memorial Park Church where she had been a long time member for over 20 years.
