Jennifer M. Tierney

Age 41, of Verona, on Friday, June 29, 2012. Beloved daughter of John T. Tierney III and the late Maureen (McDonnell) Tierney; sister of John Thomas Tierney IV; also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins of the extended McDonnell family. Jennifer was a long time member of the Steel City Rowing Club of Verona. She was a life long supporter of research to find a cure for multiple myeloma and ran many marathon type events in support of a cure. She was a graduate of Culver Girls Academy, Culver, IN, she attended Chatham College and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a liberal arts degree. While attending Pitt, she studied in Russia for a year and became fluent in the language. Jennifer worked as an accountant and handled treasuries for AFCO Credit. She was currently in the process of obtaining her MBA and a certificate of accounting. Friends will be received on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the H. P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church, 301 Shady Ave., Shadyside on Saturday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Myeloma Institute, Little Rock, Arkansas.
