

Jerry Miller, 76, of Pittsburgh, passed away Saturday July 9 at the VA Hospital- Oakland. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Trudy (Getz) Miller. Born May 10, 1946 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Homer and Ellia (Maiolo) Miller.
Jerry was known for being a proud American and always shown what it meant to be a true patriot. In his younger years, he served his country proudly in Vietnam in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed sitting on his front porch and taking in the little things in life. You often found him every Sunday at the VFW socializing with his friends. He was a member of the Italian Sons and Daughters. He enjoyed going to flea markets and cheering for his favorite football teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. Jerry will always be remembered as being a jokester, always making people smile and laugh. Above all he loved being a Pop to his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife, he is survived by his son-in-law Alex Foley and four grandchildren, Joshua, Jonha, Jessie and Jake; Siblings Home Miller, Barbara English and brother-in-law Carl Warrick
He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Lynn Foley in 2014; brother William Miller and sister Melody Warrick and brother-in-law Roy English.
Military honors will be held at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday July 22, 2022 at 10AM.
