Marjorie M Douglass

Marjorie Marion Douglass (née Lowe), 92, of Valencia passed away on Thursday September 19, 2024 at the home of her daughter. She was born on October 19, 1931 to Frank and Rose A. (née Lake) Lowe. She lost her husband, Daniel Berle Douglass in May of this year after over seven decades of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters Alberta E. (Michael P.) McGuire and Dolores (Bob) Swartworth, and brother William “Bing” (Nancy) Lowe.

Margie is survived by her brother Albert “Butch” (Connie) Lowe and four children and their spouses: Sandy and Rick Hughey, Danny and Karen Douglass, Rachel and Kevin Haser, and Jeff and Patty Douglass. She is survived by her grandchildren: Rich and Natelle Hughey, Danielle and Adam Corey, Jimmy Alexander, Kevin and Noelle Haser, and Eric and Katie Haser. She also leaves behind four loving great grandchildren, Serena and Abigail Hughey, and Carter and Jaxon Haser.

Margie spent her life raising and spending time with her family. She also worked in the school system making sure local children had nutritious and delicious meals. She enjoyed watching television shows such as “Dancing with the Stars” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”

Though Margie will be missed, her family finds comfort that Danny greeted her with a warm smile and welcomed her home.

Friends are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home on Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A funeral service will occur in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday night at 7PM.

Burial will be private at the National Cemetery of The Alleghenies.
