

Melva Fern Eber, age 74, of Allison Park, Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Melva (Beck) Eber, 74, of Allison Park passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, July 13th.
Born in Pittsburgh, Melva was the cherished wife of Robert Eber, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and partnership. Together, they raised three children who were the center of her world: Teri (George) Valko, Michael Eber, and Jennifer (Shery) Varghese. She was the adoring grandmother of Lucas and Kiran, who lit up her life and brought her endless joy. She was also the treasured sister of Lawrence (Michelle) Beck. She is proceeded in death by her loving parents, Frederick (Fritz) and Armela Beck.
Melva had the rare gift of making everyone feel like family. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with her warm smile, open arms, and infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest day. Her sense of humor, kindness, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on all who were lucky enough to know her.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures- her grandsons, a good conversation, time spent with family, and the unwavering love of her beloved dog Shelby, whom she lovingly referred to as her baby.
To know Melva was to know unconditional love, deep loyalty, and a sense of home. She was the best mother, grandmother, and friend anyone could ask for, and her legacy of love and laughter will live on in her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved and remembered.
Family and friends will be received at H.P. Brandt funeral home on Friday, July 18th from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, with a Christian burial service on Saturday at 11am at H.P. Brandt funeral home. Followed by a brief service at Allegheny County Memorial Park Cemetery and a reception thereafter.
