Reinford "Ray" Fischer

75, of Ross, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital.

Ray was a loving husband to Lucy, his wife of 51 years, who survives. He is also survived by children, James (Linda) of Ostrander, Ohio, John (Erin Lutz and daughter Sabrina) of Ross and Heather of Ostrander; granddaughter, Grace, of Ostrander; and brother, Harry (Lois), and niece, Sharon, all of Simsbury, Conn.; sister-in-law, Sue Glasgow of Avalon. He was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Bellevue, son of the late Harry F. (II) and Frances S. Fischer. Raised in Brighton Heights, he attended John Morrow Elementary and Oliver High School. He graduated from Parsons College, Iowa, where he studied history and was a member of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity.

He spent his professional career in the Pittsburgh area roofing industry, including the family’s Allstate Industries, among other local firms. He retired in 2011 from Follansbee Steel as a regional sales manager. In his retirement, he worked part-time at Lowe’s. He attended North Park Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:30 PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444.
