

Richard C. "Bim" Krohe, age 79 of Emsworth, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at home surrounded by his family after a courageous 20 year battle with cancer. Loving husband of 60 years to Natalie M. (Lewandowski) Krohe; devoted father of Lohna (David) Johnson, Sandy (Mike) Andrews, Rich (Carol) Krohe and Elizabeth Krohe; proud Pap Pap to Julianne, Jonathan, Jacqueline, Emily, Michael, Natalie, Justin and Autumn and the late Bethany; and his faithful four-legged nurse companion Zoey. Preceded in death by his parents, the late Arthur J. and Julia L. Krohe and nine siblings; Evelyn Lay, Wilbert Krohe, Joseph Krohe, Lorraine Spehar, Ruth Horvath, Dolores Nese, Ronald and Clarence Krohe. Richard is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., (412 364-4444). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Emsworth. Family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Richard, born in Pittsburgh, was a graduate of Latimer School, and went on to work as a Boiler Maker for the Eichleay Corporation, Local #527 and then to the Munroe Corporation, Boiler Makers Local #154. He was awarded in earlier years the Courage Award, for Lincoln Park at the Performing Arts Charter School. Bim will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
