Rita E. Johnson

Age 78, of Ross Twp., passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 30, 2013. Rita was born on October 12, 1935 in Lithuania. She is survived by her husband, Bill, of 55 years; her brother, Heinz (Betty) Katasanow; daughter, Karen (Fred) Wheeler; grandchildren, Rob Schmidt, Amanda Repas, and Holly Repas; step-grandchildren, Craig Wheeler, Kellen (Kim) Wheeler, Stephen Wheeler, Jasmine Wheeler; great-granddaughters, nieces, and nephews, who she dearly loved. Rita was a joyful woman who celebrated life with lots of singing and dancing. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Teutonia Mannerchor. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Sebastian Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Private entombment in St. Rose Cemetery, Hermitage, PA.
