Robert Bob C. Pastorius

Robert C. PASTORIUS 65 of Wexford, formerly of Shaler, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014. He was born March 8, 1949, a son of the late Robert M. and Helen C. (Mulvaney) Pastorius. He was the loving husband of Beverly J. (Reckard) Pastorius; beloved father of Robert E. (Amy) Pastorius of Tampa and Bethany B. (Eric) Carroll of Pittsburgh; grandfather of Ava Lindsay Pastorius and Molly Mae Carroll; brother of Thomas (Kathleen) Pastorius of St. Louis. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a special aunt, Margaret Doherty. Bob was a longtime Pittsburgh Funeral director and was a past Board Member and Secretary of the Allegheny County Funeral Directors Association. He was affectionately known to many as Bert and will be remembered as a very kind, loving and generous man. He was a member of the St. Lawrence O’Toole (St. Maria Goretti Parish, Penn Campus), where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 21. In his retirement, he volunteered in the Rehab Department of UPMC Passavant Hospital. Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 3-8 pm in the HP Brandt Funeral Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 am in the St. Maria Goretti Parish, Penn Campus.
