I was very sad to hear the news of Bob's passing. He was one of my best friends, we met at The Duncan Inn. He was my  carpenter mentor, we built a lot of decks together along with many other side jobs, he taught me so much about being a good carpenter. We hung out together for many a night playing pool and partying. He will be surely missed. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Bob, Ray Schleiden and I, along with the rest of the Five Points gang, played a lot of ball together and caused a lot of mischief at Alker's gas station. Even got him to buy my 59 Ford....sleep well, Bob.

Bob and I did many things together that were mostly sports related. He organized a local softball team and named it North Hills West that came from Verizon's phone book cover. We didn't win a lot but never missed a post-game celebration. Bowling and golf were other activities we did together and although competitive we always laughed! He will be missed.

Bob was a thoroughly accomplished craftsman who laughed his way through the day. He helped me frame my first roof and taught me much. We who grew up around "Five Points" shared many adventures. Bob was often at the center of those "adventures". (a genuinely nice guy!)

So Sorry to hear about Bob's passing. He was one of our classmates from North Allegheny class of 1968. I remember him always laughing...my prayers go out to his family members and friends.

Sorry for this loss. I have many fond memories of our times in school. 

I remember one time in particular where he took a large plastic bag in the restroom and tried to make a giant water ballon only to have it rupture and flood the bathroom floor and the hall. That got us all in trouble as I remember.

He had a great sense of humor and was fun to be around. Bob will be missed.

Sad to hear about Bob. I can remember specific fun things that we did so many years ago. Those memories will always be there. My thoughts and prayers to all of Bob's family.

I am so sorry to hear of Bobs passing.  We have been friends middle school.  We played softball together for many years.  I saw him lately at our high school reunions.  We all enjoyed Bob's sense of humor.  He made us laugh all the time.  He was a good friend.  My wife and I got engaged at his house.  My condolences to the family.

Rob and I started second grade together.  Both got "beatings" for Lincoln log battles and just general fun.  there was a well used path across the woods from Sachs to Schleidens, everyday for many years.  I am very sorry about this loss for everyone that knew him.  He was a very good friend

Bobby was a great friend to my husband Sam.  He helped us so many times renovating our home.  Sam would always judge the quality of his work using Bob's high standards.  We will miss him and his great laugh.
