Theresa C (DePasquale) Ruperto

Theresa C. (DePasquale) Ruperto, age 89, of McCandless Twp. Theresa will be remembered for her loving, generous, and playful spirit. She passed peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023, surrounded by family. Born in Pittsburgh to the late Giuseppe and Carmina (Sciulli) DePasquale and preceded by her siblings, Nancy (Guido) Bucci, Beatrice (Nicholas) Vacsulka, Joseph (Alberta) DePasquale.

Survived by her beloved husband James, to whom she was married for 70 wonderful years. Hand in hand they faced life’s challenges and made a better life for their family.

Loving and proud mother of 3 children, James (Janet), Joseph (Barbara), and Maryann (Eric) Hilburg. She was singularly dedicated to her family and treasured time with her grandchildren, Steven (Carsen), Katherine, Cristina (Peter) Shaw, Jessica Owens, and great-grandchildren, Christopher Owens and Terra Marie. Theresa is also survived by her sister-in-law, Virginia Ruperto, plus many precious nieces and nephews.

Theresa worked for over 20 years at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurosurgery, as Office Manager. She worked tirelessly to achieve her goals, which included a college education for her children and building a beautiful home in the North Hills.

Once retired, she pursued her love of travel, music, photography, and gardening. Still, she was happiest spending time with family and friends.

Theresa could fix anything, a skill she learned from her father. She was also an excellent cook, which she learned at her mother’s side, and she will be remembered for her spectacular Italian dinners.

Theresa had a deep faith in Jesus Christ. She lived that faith with a truly kind heart and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A visitation for Theresa will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc, 1032 Perry Hwy, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St Sebastian Catholic Church, 311 Siebert Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Please meet at the funeral home at 9AM. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery
