Thomas L. Carter Jr.

Thomas L. Carter Jr., age 69, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025 at UPMC McCandless. Born, October 21, 1955, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thomas L. and Shirley (Cavanaugh) Carter Sr. Tom was a proud United States Army Veteran, he was a member of the James A. Garfield Club in Pittsburgh. He enjoyed gardening, tending to his flower beds, everyone knew about his tomatoes, and he loved keeping a green lawn. Tom loved camping, picnicking, and playing in (and winning), horseshoe tournaments.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Mary Ann (Bunce) Carter; one daughter, Stacy Faulkner; one son, Jeff (Beth) Carter; five grandsons, Trevor, Peyton and Maddox Faulkner, and Everett and Anderson Carter. Also surviving are six siblings; Laurie Tibi, Anna Mae (Bob) Hosler, Kenny Carter, Mary Lou Carter, Raymond Carter, and Bobby Carter.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister; Linda Carter, three brothers; Donny, Willy, Charles, a son-in-law, Eric Faulkner, and a brother-in-law, Tom Tibi.

Friends will be received Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 2pm until the time of a Catholic Blessing Service at 7pm at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, 1032 Perry Highway, Pittsburgh, PA, 15237.
