

William John Cosentino, age 87, of Reserve Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. He was the loving and loyal husband of over fifty years to the late Mary Jane (Dragina) Cosentino; cherished father of Daniel, Susan and the late David Cosentino. He was preceeded in death by his wonderful parents, Anna (Friel) and Joseph Cosentino., and was also very blessed with many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews; sisters; JoAnn Cosentino of California, Anna (Garcia) Cosentino of Pittsburgh, brothers; Joe Cosentino and Bernard "Butch" Cosentino (his wife Charmaine) of Monroeville, Bruce Cosentino and the late Carol (Egeter) Cosentino of Butler, James of Cosentino of Pittsburgh and Charles Cosentino of Chicago, Illinois. William's family adored him. He and his brothers were avid football players in their day and in their spare time, they volunteered administering oxygen, at games when needed, for the Steelers and Pitt Football teams, all done gratis and for the Love Of The Game. He was the beloved uncle of Joe "Ope", Mark "Bimbo", Francis, Catherine and the late Margaret "Maggie" . William was also inspired and cherished by his wife's family; brother-in-laws; Robert Dragina (wife Carolyn), James Dragina and the late Frank Dragina, Jr. He was the best friend of Harry Wilhelm of Ross Township for over 80 years. As a longtime employee of Duquesne Light for forty years, upon retirement, he had achieved many service awards within the company. William was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Daniel and Susan, his surviving children, would like to thank all who have helped and sustained their father over the years, including the staff of Manor Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the North Hills. They pray that God continues to bless all caregivers. With respect to his children, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Nicholas Church with burial to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery will be held at a later date and time. Family suggests memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West Station Square Drive, Suite 1900, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
