Bernard John Connor

Buddy served his country in both the US Navy and the US Air Force and retired after 29 years of service.

He was known for his wonderful sense of humor which he kept throughout his illness. He was selfless and kind and always put others before himself. He will be greatly missed by friends and especially family.

Bernard is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Vivian, his loving son Richard and daughter in law Barbara and sisters, Eleanor and Joan. He was preceded in death by parents, Bernard and Mary, and brothers, Francis and Eddie.

Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, 3/27/2014, at 11:00am at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 3109 Sacramento Street, Placerville, CA. Interment will follow at 2:30pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. A visitation will be held Wednesday, 3/26/2014, from 3 to 6pm at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619, whom they wish to thank for their care and support.
