Betty B. McHugh

June 29, 1929 - November 14, 2011

Betty Baroody McHugh was born June 29, 1929 in Texarkana, Arkansas. Betty moved to California with her parents in the early 1930’s. She graduated from Venice High School in Venice, CA in 1946. Upon graduating, she married Norman Baroody. She and Norm were married for 45 years and raised 3 daughters. Betty worked primarily as a stenographer and medical transcriber, retiring from the V.A. Hospital in L.A. in 1974. After her husband died in 1991, Betty moved to Placerville, where she met and married Warren McHugh in 1993. Betty was a volunteer at Snowline Hospice from 1992 to 2004. Betty served as secretary for the 3-Forks Senior Club in Somerset for many years. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Melanie (John) Batdorf, Robin (Stephen) Smith and Cherie Sinclair. Grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 4.

Services will be private with inurnment at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville.
