Christina (Christine, Christy) was born in Dover, Delaware but spent many of her earliest years in Hawaii. In the seventies, she and her older brother Jonathan moved with the family to California, where Christine attended schools in Santa Rosa and Oroville. She graduated from Piner High School in Santa Rosa where she was a member of the swim team and spent her summers as a Certified Lifeguard at Finlay Center Pool.
Higher education was always her goal, and Christine graduated with a degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University. She was an active member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and forged lifelong friendships with several of her college sorority sisters.
Christine’s strong work ethic made her a valued employee in her career as a client relations specialist. She traveled extensively for work and pleasure, both domestically and abroad. She particularly loved the British Isles and spent two weeks immersed in a London Theater Program through the University of California, Berkeley and also traveled in Ireland.
Christine loved animals and always made room in her heart and home for her treasured cats, dogs and horses. Her commitment to the welfare of animals was so strong that she once rescued a dog wandering in traffic on the interstate. She adopted the dog and gave it a forever home on the horse ranch where she lived in Placerville. Christine found great comfort in her time spent with horses and continued advancing her riding skills into adulthood.
Christine’s life will be honored and remembered in a private family ceremony. Please share your stories and photos on her website listing at ChapelofthePinesfunerals.com. Your memories and condolences are most appreciated.
