Diana Lynn Tryon, a fourth generation Placerville native, passed away at home, April 7, 2015. Diana is survived by her husband Michael, sister Jodi (Dennis) Doherty, nephew Sean (Sarah) Morey and great niece Sophie Grace Morey. She also leaves behind step children Kim Sterling, Toby (Mia) Tryon, step grandsons Jonathon (Cat) Norcom, Curtis and Christopher Tryon and step great granddaughter Marley Norcom as well as many “furry kids”.
Diana was part of the 1963 graduating class from El Dorado H.S. and remained close with her classmates, many of whom visited her daily and she received gifts from several who are out of state. Diana was employed by the Probation Dept. of El Dorado County for over 25 years. She was close to her coworkers who, during her last 4 weeks, delivered homemade meals nightly, even providing the menu with notations as to who had cooked and who had delivered. Diana loved her family, friends, music and dancing. She enjoyed camping if it included room service and supervising Mike in the garden. She also found joy sharing with her Facebook family. Diana was known as a collector of “everything”, a crafter and a loving caregiver to both her father and mother. A celebration of Diana’s life will take place Wednesday, 4/15/2015, at 6:00pm at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Diana’s name to Snowline Hospice, 6520 Pleasant Valley Rd., Diamond Springs, CA 95619, snowlinehospice.org., who’s care of Diana was greatly appreciated. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com.
