Don was born August 12, 1931 at Sioux City, Iowa to Lewis and Marguerite (Beedle) Morley. He attended schools in Sioux City, and graduated from East Highschool. Immediately after graduation, he joined the United States Navy and was stationed on the LST which he loved. After his tour of duty, he attended Iowa State University. After that, he went to work in Sioux City for a HVAC company. He then apprenticed with the local sheet metal workers' union and became a journeyman sheet metal worker.

After moving to southern California, he was with the Union in Orange County where he was elected President of Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union #420 and went on to be elected Business Representative. He was a proud union member for a great many years.

When he retired, he and his wife moved to property in Camino, California where they built the first all metal framed home in the county. They lived there for nineteen wonderful years, eventually downsizing and moving into Placerville, California.

Don was a member of St. Patrick Parish where he served as a President of the Parish Council, was an Eucharistic Minister, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree Council #6322. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Golden Sierra Assembly #3345. He was also a proud member of the Knights Color Guard.

Don is survived by a brother, Edwin Richard, his wife, Doris; son, Craig Michael; daughter, Jodi Ann; step-son, Stephen (Chris) Christopher Katko; step-daughter, Kara Ellen Katko; grandson, Scott Andrew Morley; granddaughter, Vanessa Lee Morley; great-granddaughters, Kylie, Schyler and Michaela, and many nieces and nephews.

Don was a much loved man full of life and laughter and it is with heavy hearts we give him back to God.
