Dottie was born in San Jose, CA, and there she met and married Allen. Dottie and Allen moved their young family to Placerville in 1981. Dottie was a wonderful family oriented woman, always putting her family first and making the home a place of celebration for all the holidays, a great homemaker and cook. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and instilled the same in her children. Dottie was a very forgiving person, and she welcomed and was supportive of anyone in need, opening her home and heart to many. She loved shopping, crafts, camping, Bingo, Bunco and her Scabble and Yahtzee which she was a master at. Dottie loved life and accepted “the cards life dealt her” with dignity and an unbelievably positive attitude. Dottie will always be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed by all.
