Earl W. Larsen

November 10. 1941 - August 7, 2013

Earl W. Larsen, a member of the pioneer Larsen Apple Barn family of Camino, CA (Apple Hill), passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at the age of 71, after a year-long battle with cancer. He was a long time apple farmer, surveyor, and musician. After achieving a master's degree in music, and teaching music for 10 years, Earl returned to the Larsen farm to participate in the family business. His love of music was expressed as a member of the local 'Cantare Chorale of the Sierra Foothills'; and as choir director at the Camino SDA Church, of which he was a lifetime member. Earl loved hiking, reading, & traveling. He had a very close, spiritual walk with the Lord; and everyone who knew him, loved him. He was a devoted husband and father to his wife, Elaine Larsen, of 34 years; and his children, David Larsen and Cara Larsen, who adored their father; and his soon to be daughter-in-law and granddaughters. Survived also by his sister, Winnifred Plubell; and brothers: Eugene Larsen and Roswell Larsen, and their families.

A Memorial Service for Earl will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the Camino Seventh Day Adventist Church, 3520 Carson Rd., Camino.
