Francis X Bergeron was born in Washington D.C. on February 13, 1943. His family resided in Madison, WI, and Pasadena, CA, until eventually moving up to Sacramento, CA. He married Virginia J Stagner in Fairfield, CA on June 10, 1963, with whom he had two daughters. As a young man, he served in the United States Army joining the elite Airborn Division while stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.
Frank worked as an engineer for Pac Bell in San Rafael. It is here that he and Virginia really put down roots and raised their two daughters, Ursula and Senta. Frank loved spending time with his family and beloved pets. He had a wonderful sense of humor that made him an especially lively person. He was generous with his time and always up for any game. He loved sports, especially football, and baseball, and was on the track team in high school as well. He also loved to go golfing with his close friends every spring in both CA and after his move to CO. In addition, he was always interested in motorcycles, cars, and Formula One racing. Over the years he traveled to watch many races, often coming home with autographs and personal stories. Furthermore, he was very proud of his Italian heritage. In 1998 he and Virginia traveled to both Germany and Italy, where they lunched with his uncle Mike and his wife Gabriella in Verona.
Frank will be missed by all and especially by his daughters. They will always be held by his love, his humor, and his strength to the very end.
Frank is survived by his wife Virginia, his daughters Ursula and Senta, and his four grandchildren, Marcello, Francesca, Isabella, and Giulietta.
He will be laid to rest in San Rafael, alongside his mother Josephine Bergeron, and younger brother Terry Bergeron.
