He was a great husband, the best father and the greatest papa. He loved being on his Harley, gold panning, fishing, axe throwing, playing disc golf, and spending time with his family. He spent many years coaching his daughter Andrea’s softball teams and made it a point to attend all his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events.
The past 25 years Ken called Somerset his home. Anyone that knew him would say they loved him, and he knew a lot of people. He was the person you called if you needed help, had a question or needed a good laugh. He knew how to fix anything and everything. He was the center of attention and the life of the party. He worked hard at everything he did. If he considered you a friend or family, he would do everything in his power to make sure you were taken care of. His heart was so big. He became such a vital part of El Dorado County, during winter you would find him plowing snow in Pollock Pines and surrounding areas, Disc Golf season or any spare time he would be at Pioneer Park, Skull Mt or other disc golf course.
Ken fought pancreatic cancer for 3.5 years, which included a handful of surgeries and countless number of chemo sessions. He fought hard, until his last breath. His fight to live was a testament to who Ken was in life and the love he had for his wife, children, grandchildren.
A celebration of life for Ken will take place at Pioneer Park on March 22, 2025, at 1:30pm, and in true Ken style the day will be filled with love, laughter, good music, great food and if you’re up to it Disc Golf. He is missed dearly, but his legacy will live on for generations to come. He always said he was a legend in his own mind, he was partially right, He is a legend and will always be remembered by everyone he encountered.
