Lavonne Marie (Reinert) Brown was born in Bakersfield, CA and raised in the small oil town of Maricopa, CA. After attending college she moved back to Bakersfield where she raised two children. The family moved to Placerville in 1979. She was employed by the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department for 15 years retiring on July 26, 2003 as a Senior Sheriff’s Assistant. Lavonne was an amazing artist – always creating in a variety of mediums from crayons with her grandchildren to pen and ink, charcoal, pencil and even clay. She also had a passion for interior design. She was constantly doodling new designs for her home and rearranging her furniture on a weekly basis.
Lavonne was a tenacious woman, surviving three cancers, only to succumb to a long battle with COPD. She passed on December 15, 2012 in her home in Cameron Park. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Rezentes, son-in-law Roy Rezentes II, and her grand children David and Ethan Rezentes. Lavonne, a devout Christian, has now been reunited with her first born, David Warren Brown and her parents Mary Stutsman and Bill Reinert. She will be missed greatly.
Services will be held at Chapel of the Pines in Placerville, CA on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Online condolences may be posted at chapelofthepinesfunerals.com
