Marie Sanders was born 11/23/1927 in India and passed away 6/9/2016 at home in Diamond Springs, CA after a long illness. Marie is survived by her husband Robert Sanders; sons Christopher and Jeffrey Sanders; daughter-in-law Glenna Sanders; grandchildren, Daniel, Trevor, Crystle, Garrett, Merritt; and great grandchild Dominic. Marie was a stewardess before becoming a nurse and working in the medical field for more than 20 years. Marie was a great cook and she enjoyed gardening and baseball. She loved all animals and had a special fondness for frogs and butterflies. Marie purchased bird seed in massive quantities and was known to stop and feed the birds just about anywhere. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday 6/17/2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the church Marie belonged to, St. Patrick’s, 3109 Sacramento Street, Placerville, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in Marie’s name, to the World Wildlife Fund, P.O.
