Martin "Marty" Phillip Hegseth

Marty is survived by his wife of 40 years, Connie; sons, Ryan and Christopher; granddaughter Katie; sister Karen Keech and his niece Michelle (Phil) Yates.

Marty worked for the County of Sacramento as an appraiser and also was a residential building contractor. A very active outdoorsman, he was a pilot, loved gold panning, golfing, biking, hiking and caving. He greatly enjoyed sharing many of these activities with his not as enthusiastic, but willing, wife Connie. He was also a very creative artist, creating many beautiful things that are treasured by family and friends who received them. Both Marty and Connie did enjoy traveling and made several memorable trips. Marty was a man of strong faith who was much loved and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, 1/10/2017, from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Rd., Placerville, CA. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, 1/11/17, at 2:00 pm at Church of the Foothills, 2380 Merry Chase Dr., Cameron Park, CA. Burial will be private at Camellia Memorial Lawn in Sacramento, CA.
