Norma Juliette Burke

Norma passed away on January 30, 2019 at the age of 97. She was born in Wyoming, New York to Earl and Myra Ewell on August 23, 1921. Norma had 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Maynard, Kenneth, Eleanor, Doris and Alice.

Norma married Fred Mason Burke on October 16, 1943 in Oceanside, California and they were married for 27 years. When they divorced, she lived alone with the help from her children. Norma is survived by her 5 children, Roger, Gary, David, Susan and Daniel. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Norma lived in Garden Valley, California since 1967. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano at Kelsey Bible Church every Sunday well into her 90s. Norma fell in her home and was placed in Western Slope Health Center in 2017. She lived there until her passing. The family wants to thank Western Slope for all of the care they gave her during her stay. She will be greatly missed by her family.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Kelsey Cemetery, 6553 Kelsey Rd., Kelsey, California.
