Ruth Pearl Peters

November 29, 1918 - September 7, 2016

Ruth “Oma” Pearl Peters passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on September 7, 2016 at her home in Cameron Park. Ruth is survived by her loving daughter, Arlene Dobbelaer. Devoted grandmother of Shannon (Ernie) Durst and great grandmother of Anthony Durst.

A native of Placerville, Ruth was 97 years old. She was a graduate of El Dorado High School in 1936 and Heald College in Sacramento. Ruth retired as a payroll clerk from Newberry’s Department Store in San Francisco after 40 years and was a member of the Shakespeare Club and square dance clubs, Main Street Strollers and Apple Jacks and Jills. Ruth was also a member of the Cold Springs Golf Club and the Women of the Moose, Camino Lodge.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Pines Funeral Home, 2855 Cold Springs Road, Placerville. Interment will follow at Westwood Hills Memorial Park, Placerville.
