Dorothy Nolan

Dorothy Nolan of Plainview, formerly of Plattsburgh, NY went peacefully on October 12, 2013. A loving mother of seven and beloved wife of the late Philip is deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Dorothy was a former Home Economic Teacher in the Plainview School District and a member of St. Pius X RC Church for fifty years. She loved teaching, the beach, gardening, being a grandmother, spending winters in Florida and cherished her time spent with Phil. Dorothy is survived by her six adoring children Cynthia, Philip, Daniel, Michael, James, Margaret, and the late Mary Agnes. Her fourteen loving grandchildren Beth, Matt, Alex, Kathryn, Phoebe, John, Ethan, Mary, Jonathan, Kevin, Brian, Erin, Rebecca, and Chloe as well as her loving son-in-laws and daughter-in-laws and niece Shirley. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday 4 - 8 pm at the Vernon C Wagner Funeral Home 655 Old Country Road Plainview, NY. Funeral Mass Thursday 9:30 AM @ St. Pius X RC Church, Plainview. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
