Helen Nelson, 96, of Old Bethpage passed away on May 6, 2016 at the Smithtown home of her daughter, Elaine and son-in-law, Raymond Herrick. She is preceded by her husband, Fredrick C. Nelson and her second husband, Theodore Dinati. She is the last of seven siblings, who were raised in Lynn, Mass., but is survived by her daughters, Marian Nelson Villafana, Elaine Nelson Herrick, son-in-law, Raymond Herrick, grandchildren: Chase (Alanna), Brittany, and Alexandra Villafana, Linda Wert, Natalie and Olivia Herrick, great-grandchildren, Samara and Petra Villafana.
Helen Nelson, avid nature lover, walker, and grandmother to friends and neighbors will be missed for her quiet and gentle sunlight and warm, positive acceptance.
