Patricia Ann Hannau

Patricia Ann Hannau,77 of Plainview, New York passed away on September 9,2015.She was born in New York City. Pat was the beloved wife of George Patrick Hannau for 58 years. She was the loving mother of Lauri Barry, wife of Joseph and of the late Kim Valeri, wife of Ronald. Pat was the devoted grandmother of Michael & Nicole Barry and Alexis & Danielle Valeri. She was the dear sister of Brenda Schmid and brother Randy Brack.

Patricia graduated from Davis High School in Mount Vernon NY and Attended the University of Miami,majoring in Education. She was married to George Patrick Hannau on December 22,1956. Pat had a career as an executive administrative assistant in the banking industry. She was a proud member on the Board of Directors of the Bethpage-Plainview Lions Club and also sang in the choir of the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church. Pat had a passion for knitting and was a member of the Knit Wits group at St. Margaret's which distributed knitted scarves and hats to the homeless and others in need. Family and friends may visit the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home 655 Old Country Road Plainview NY on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service Thursday 10:30am at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Plainview NY. Inurment to follow at the church cemetery.
