Peter C. Eckhoff

Peter Eckhoff came into the world on February 16, 1959 with a fun loving free spirit, and a compassionate heart, and a great sense of humor. With these gifts he has touched the lives of many, many people. Peter thought of the happiness of others, sometimes before his own. Peter graduated from Plainview-Old Bethpage High School in 1977 and was on the football team and the wrestling team. Peter always honored and appreciated all the friendships he had, especially his 52 year friendship with his friend Scott. Peter graduated from the University of Nevada. Peter loved to travel and explore. Peter hiked the Grand Canyon and drove cross country a few times. Peter traveled around the United States and worked as a Hotel Manager. Peter traveled to England to explore and fulfilled a dream. Peter enjoyed playing golf with his father, his uncle Al, and Cousin Jimmy. Peter loved his family and friends and they all knew that he was loyal and dependable. Everyone knew that Peter would be there by their side when he was needed. Peter was always there telling a joke or funny story just to bring a smile to your face. Peter loved his niece, Allison and nephew, Nicholas. Peter is survived by his parents, sister, brother and large extended family. Peter enjoyed his life. Peter’s kind and generous spirit with be missed by all that have had the honor to have known him. Peter passed away peacefully on March 21, 2016 and his spirit will live on within all of us. We will remember him and smile.
