Alberta Mary Hushfield, age 82, passed away on Sunday November 20, 2011. She was born on January 1, 1929 on a ferryboat on the Mississippi River near hear hometown of Gretna, LA. She was a loving wife, Mother and Grandmother who gave everything she had for all during her life.
Alberta devoted most of her professional career to working in the Church as Church Secretary in addition to countless hours spent volunteering and working with the youth group(s) over the years.
Alberta had many talents; she was a gifted writer, painter and did many crafts over the years. Pretty much anything she tried she was able to with excellence. She had a very sly and mischievous sense of humor and always kept those around her laughing.
Most of all Alberta loved to have fun and help others. She was able to do both through her many years of involvement with TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) and made many good friends over the years.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Dan Hushfield of Allen, Texas, sons, Jeff Hushfield of Allen, Texas, and Eddie Hushfield of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and daughter Joan Matz of Plano, Texas.
