

Ann Snowden Evers Born 1-31-1945 Attended Ole Miss, she received an undergraduate degree from the University of Memphis, and she received two Masters Degrees from Texas Women’s University in Denton. She was an elementary school classroom teacher in Memphis, TN and Christie Elementary School in Plano for over 30 years. She retired from teaching after the 2003 school year. She loved teaching 5th grade and never really wanted to do anything else. She was survived by her husband of 47 years, Richard Evers, whom she met at Ole Miss; two daughters, Bethany Haas and Leslie Webb; two son-in-laws, Kevin Haas and Russell Webb; and four granddaughters, Morgan and Delaney Haas and Madeleine and Emma Webb. She attended the reformed church of Plano and was a member of the Plano Women’s New Comers, Beta Sigma Phi Women’s Sorority, Plano Book Club, and her canasta card group. Her hobbies included reading, shopping, scrapbooking, cross stitch and spending time with her grandchildren for whom she loved to shop. A special thank you to Dr. Christopher Stokoe, Mary Fitzgerald and all the wonderful and caring staff at Texas Oncology, North Texas regional Cancer Center in Plano who added eight years to Ann’s life with their skill, support and caring. The family wants to also thank the caring and professional nursing and hospital staff on the 4th and 6th floors of the the Medical Center of Plano and the Vitas Hospice Care Staff. A memorial service will be Thursday 10:30 am at The Reformed Church of Plano. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen American Cancer Association or charity of your choice.
