It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia "Cindy" Louise McVay announces her passing on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at the age of 68, surrounded by her loving family, after battling pancreatic cancer.
Cindy was born March 27th, 1956, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Bernie and Dorothy LePoire. She attended Marshalltown High School, and had a great interest in riding and showing horses, winning many accolades and awards. She later married Robert McVay on March 13th, 1976. They welcomed their daughter Erin in 1978, followed by sons Kevin in 1981 and Dustin in 1989. They moved to Plano, Texas in 1991, where Cindy worked at Lennox Industries in Richardson, Texas for 44 years in total, from 1974-2018, until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Dorothy LePoire; sisters, Barbara Williams and Margie Ringo; and husband, Robert McVay.
She is survived by her children Erin, Kevin, and Dustin, as well as her beautiful grandchildren Devin, Cason, Terynn, and Gage.
A celebration of life for Cindy will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, 2128 18th Street, Plano, TX 75074.
