David was born on August 11, 1960 in Meadville, PA to David and Theresa Cappellino Sekel. On July 10, 1982, he married Natalie Goodwin. Together they raised 2 daughters, Melissa and Lauren. David was the epitome of a family man with a passion for helping his community. He was an active member of St. Jude and the Knights of Columbus. He tutored math to local children in the Dallas area. David was known for his kind spirit and infectious laughter.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa. He is survived by his wife Natalie, Daughters Melissa (Jonathon) Neece, Lauren (Eric) Barr, 2 grandchildren Mary and Andrew, Siblings, Ann (Doug) Nelson, Mark Sekel, Patricia (Jodi) Lobdell, Christine (Dennis) Wilke, Amy (Shawn) Martin, In-laws Jonnie ( John, Deceased) Goodwin, K.C. (Ramona) Hasty, Carmen (Philip) Londenberg, Barbara Goodwin, Kenneth (deceased) Fredine Hasty, Richard Hasty (Deceased), Miles Hasty (Deceased), Chad (Cheryl) Hasty, Caton Hasty, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Viewing will be Friday November, 23rd. Funeral services are Saturday November, 24th at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas.
