Doug went to be with our Lord and savior on Monday, September 20, 2010. Doug was born on January 20, 1948 to James Edward Burch, and Dolores Imogene Applegate in Greencastle, Indiana. Doug is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Joy (Lowery) Burch, daughters; Kim Burch, and Christine Phillips, Son-in-law; Dale Phillips, Grandson; Austin Burch of Plano, Texas, and brother; Dale Burch of Valrico, Florida. Doug joined the Air Force in December 1968 where he spent the next 23 years of his life sering his country. Doug's passion in life was teaching. His tour of duty included 8 years in Germany.
Arrangements under the direction of Jarrid Stout at Ted Dickey Funeral Home, Plano, TX, interment will be at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, TX.
