Douglas was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America, serving in many different roles from Assistant Scoutmaster to most recently serving as District Commissioner. His many awards for his dedicated service included District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver award. Douglas took great enjoyment out of helping young Scouts earn their religious awards. He also was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He spent over 35 years serving our government both in the U.S. Navy and working for the Internal Revenue Service. He enjoyed Friday night bowling, swimming, and spending as much time as he could fishing. His greatest love in his life was his wife and 5 sons.
Douglas is survived by his wife Janyce Molepske; five sons: Steven Molepske, Timothy (Jessica) Molepske, Gregory (Lindsay) Molepske, Jeffrey (Jacquelyn) Molepske and Eric Molepske; five grandchildren: Madison, Austin, Preston, Jackson and Mallory.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Irene Molepske.
Douglas will most be remembered from his service to Scouting in which he ended every meeting, “For the boys.”
It is the wishes of the Molepske family that instead of sending flowers, please make a donation to the organization that meant so much to Doug Molepske, The Boy Scouts of America.
