Elgerine Marie Hemer

God called an Angel on earth back home to Heaven. Elgerine was born on December 16, 1955 to Steven & Arlene Sokolowski in Hays, KS. A graduate of Hammondsport Central School in Hammondsport, NY, and received a degree in Accounting from Freeman Business College in Geneva, NY. She had over 30 years of mortgage servicing experience with the last 20 with Countrywide/ Bank of America, where she received numerous awards for excellence. Elgerine married her best friend and husband William Hemer on February 12, 1977 in Penn Yan, NY. Elgerine and William resided in Plano from 1981 to her passing after moving from Houston, TX. She was a friend to everyone, and always was sincere in her compassion. Elgerine was a true Catholic and Christian in the way she lived her life and portrayed her faith in the Lord. She is surely missed and greatly loved. Surviving to treasure her memory is her husband William Hemer. Also her sisters Cindy Woodard (Dresden, NY), Laurie Thompkins (Penn Yan, NY), Michelle Sokolowski (Waxahachie, TX), Shirley Sokolowski (Penn Yan, NY) and brothers Ricky Sokolowski, Keith Sokolowski, and Kyle Sokolowski (all of Penn Yan, NY) Missing her as well are numerous in-laws, uncles and aunts, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Waiting for Elgerine in Heaven are her parents Steven and Arlene Sokolowski, and all her grandparents.

Visitation will be held for Elgerine at Ted Dickey Funeral Home in East Plano on Thursday 6-8PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, TX on Friday at 1PM.
