George retired from JCPenney Business Services after serving 25 years and then went on to work for Verizon another 12 years before permanently retiring, serving as project manager at both places of employment. He was responsible for implementing software programs and managed numerous programmers both locally and internationally.
George and his wife, June, met while serving as counselors at the Plano Crisis Center. They married in Plano in August 1990. June and George were active in the Plano community through her job as senior vice president of marketing for Legacy Bank of Texas. They assisted with housing projects with the neighborhood revitalization program and with the March of Dimes Walk and MLK Parade.
George was blessed with a large family that he loved dearly. He is survived by his wife, June Cockrill Rossetti; his sister, Roseann; his son David; his son Daniel and wife Ellen; and grandchildren Zachary, Lauren, Matthew and Joseph. George’s devotion to family and friends and his love for the Lord was an inspiration to all who knew him. He always put others before himself, and he will be dearly missed by so many, but we know he is now in heaven with his Lord and Savior.
