It is with much sadness to inform you of the death of James Wayne Allman at age 77. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after battling lung cancer for the last year. Jim was born in Celina, Ohio, the son of Wayne and Grace Allman. Jim graduated from Memorial High School in St. Mary’s and soon after met his wife of 55 years, Sue Rupert (Allman). He then started his career as an executive in the insurance industry, until he took early retirement in the ‘90s. Jim quickly became bored of the retired life and started his second career of driving a school bus for Plano ISD. He drove for 21 years before he officially retired in 2013. We will miss him dearly, however, we know he is in a much better place. Jim was predeceased by both of his parents, and his son, Doug Allman. He is survived by his wife, Sue, daughter, Jodi (Allman) Bailey, son-in-law, Jon Bailey, grandson, Ryan Bailey, granddaughter, Kylie Bailey, his two sisters and their husbands, Hazel and Don Starr and Norma and John Schroer, brother-in law and his wife, John and Cathy Rupert, and numerous nieces and nephews.
