Joan DeSantis Ternan

Joan Paula DeSantis, wife to Jack G. B. Ternan, Sr., was born in Quincy MA on March 23, 1947 the daughter of the late John Paul and Amelia (Marinelli) DeSantis. Joan graduated from Bentley College in 1968, became a CPA in MA until she moved to Dallas, Texas in 1978 and met her husband, Jack, who she married on May 17, 1980 in MA and became Joan DeSantis Ternan. They moved to Plano Texas where they raised their family.

Joan Ternan is survived by her little brother, John Paul DeSantis Jr., who was born on her birthday three years later, now residing in Pembroke, MA.

Joan Ternan is also survived by her husband Jack Ternan, Sr.; her son Jack Ternan, Jr. and his wife Ashley, of Plano, Texas; son Daniel Ternan and his wife Shannon, of Plano, Texas; son Thomas Ternan and his wife Rachel, of Camas, WA; and son David Ternan, of Plano, Texas.

Joan is the Proud Nonna of 10 grandchildren: Jack Ternan III, Huxley Ternan, Nicholas Ternan, Alice Ternan, Fiona Ternan, Logan Ternan, Theodore Ternan, Reece Ternan, Madelynn Ternan, and Elena Ternan.

Joan was also the granddaughter of the late Italian immigrants Giuseppe and Berardina (D’Alessandro) Marinelli and Giuseppe and Maryanna (Chella) DeSantis, who became US Citizens.
