

He graduated from Petrolia High School in Petrolia, TX in 1943. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII from January of 1944 to February of 1946 in New Guinea and the Philippines. In 1947 he married Patricia Ann Rice. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1950. His successful award winning career in sales and management followed with Curtis Candy Co., Mennen Co., Warner Lambert, and Pfizer. After retiring, he and Pat enjoyed traveling to several locations around the world.
John was an avid outdoorsman who loved bird hunting and fishing, especially with friends and family. At a young age he taught himself to play guitar and enjoyed it throughout his life. In his later years he played at several local venues and the orchestra at Hunters Glen Baptist Church. Following his favorite sports teams on television was an enjoyable pastime. He also had a lot of fun playing cards and domino’s. John truly loved time spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Patricia Ann; daughter: Rebecca Sue Lacey; son: Kyle Dennis Lacey and wife Karen; granddaughter: Kendra Lacey Seal and husband Zach; grandson: Kory Lacey, and great granddaughter: Emerson Seal.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, Monday 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Hunters Glen Baptist Church, 4001 Custer Road, Plano, TX 75023.
